In 2014, Jacob Englin walked across the graduation stage at Ģ����Ƶ with a bachelor's degree in agricultural education and a dream to help shape the next generation of agricultural leaders. Over a decade later, he’s back at SDSU not as a student, but as a full-time assistant professor helping to guide the very program that once shaped him.

An addition to Ģ����Ƶ’s Swine Education and Ģ����Ƶ Facility has completed the final round of legislative approval. House Bill 1118, approving the design and construction for an expansion to the university’s existing swine wean-to-finish facility was signed into law Tuesday afternoon by Gov. Larry Rhoden.

Students from Ģ����Ƶ are preparing to attend the annual Commodity Classic, the nation’s largest farmer-led and farmer-focused agricultural trade show, thanks to the continued generosity of alumni and industry donors.

Presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham headlines this year’s Daschle Dialogues on April 7 on the Ģ����Ƶ campus. This year’s event is being held in First Bank & Trust Arena.

Ģ����Ƶ students and faculty made their annual migration to the National Bison Association conference in Denver, Colorado, last month. More than just attending, the SDSU representatives made considerable contributions to meeting’s agenda from planning to presenting.

When members of Ģ����Ƶ’s AISES chapter wanted to attend the national organization’s conference, the College of Nursing stepped up to make it happen. The college donated $4,000 to support travel and event costs.

Ethan James, a junior agricultural business student at Ģ����Ƶ, has been selected as one of 41 Agriculture Future of America Ambassadors nationwide.

It was a celebration so large that Ģ����Ƶ’s College of Nursing had to find a new, bigger venue. The fall 2025 Rapid City pinning and hooding ceremony needed more space to accommodate the entire nursing cohort and family and friends.

The SDSU Civic Symphony will present its first program of the spring semester, titled “Four Centuries of Symphony.” The concert is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, and will be held in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.

Ģ����Ƶ’s Department of Animal Science has been named the 2025 North American Limousin Foundation Promoter of the Year following its collaborative efforts in conducting a multiyear beef cattle research study.
